experience) Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM;
full-time; onsite during training, then hybrid with a minimum of 3

and ongoing coaching. Job Description: The Billing Specialist is
responsible for initial third-party payer billing and related
revenue cycle activities, including claim submission, payment
posting, and coordination with senior billing staff. This role
supports timely reimbursement and serves as a resource for
insurance-related questions across the organization. Key
Responsibilities: Submit electronic claims to Medicare, Medicaid,
managed care, and commercial payers Monitor claim acceptance and
resolve rejections or returned claims promptly Process coinsurance
claims and escalate complex or aging accounts as needed Post
third-party payments accurately to Accounts Receivable Assist with
Medicare-specific billing such as no-pay, benefit exhaust, and
informational claims Escalate claims requiring appeal, audit, or
extended follow-up to senior billing staff Maintain current
knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer billing requirements
Enter ancillary and supplemental charges into the billing system in
a timely manner Support internal teams by answering insurance
benefit and billing questions Verify insurance coverage prior to
billable services when required Assist with small balance
adjustments and billing updates related to retroactive coverage
changes Qualifications: 1–3 years of hands-on Medicare billing and
cash posting experience Experience managing billing tasks
end-to-end without transferring work to another department Exposure
to home health, skilled nursing, or similar healthcare settings
preferred Familiarity with DDE, MACs, and PDGM strongly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and healthcare billing systems; PCC
experience a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work
