your future with us. The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) -
Phantom Works organization is seeking Supportable Low Observable
(SLO) Engineers to join the Signature Integrity Team in St. Louis,
Missouri region. This is a great opportunity for someone to help
sustain stealth platform signature performance. Supportable Low
Observable (SLO) engineers in this group are responsible for
development of supportability technology, maintenance processes,
concept prototyping, signature measurements, flight test research
activities, and operations support for stealth aircraft. This job
requires both hands-on and deskwork. Some travel is expected. Our
teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels
including; Associate and Experienced Level Supportable Low
Observable (SLO) Engineers .Position Responsibilities:
- Support the SLO team
- Execute SLO for maximizing Operational Availability and
minimizing Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of Boeing products with LO design
features while maintaining vehicle signature performance
- Analyze customer and system requirements to develop basic
architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various
products
- Develop high-level and detailed designs consistent with
requirements and specifications
- Validate designs through various methods of review, testing and
analysis
- Implement supportability guidelines early in platform
design
- Share SLO experience and methods between low observable (LO)
programs
- Identify designs, materials, tools or method improvements to
reduce LCC for users
- Mature data collection and analysis tools and system to
efficiently direct LO maintenance actions by users
- Work alongside materials & processes, product support, LO
Design, and reliability & maintainability engineers Other
Responsibilities May Include:
- Teamwork: Candidates must be able to positively interact with a
wide range of personnel in design, fabrication, and testing of
prototypes and aircraft parts and systems, including suppliers
- Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and
status to project stakeholders Candidate may be representing the
Boeing Company to Government Customers and/or suppliers
- Technical writing: Candidate will create and edit
specifications, procedures, and reports
- Flexibility: Strong organization and documentation skills will
be needed to manage multiple simultaneous projects in various
states of maturity and/or multiple activities within a single
projectThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed
location options.Travel may be required up to 10% of the time;
Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business
needs.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
- (Level 2) 2+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's
or work related experience with a Master's
- (Level 3) 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's
or 3+ years of work related experience with a Master's or work
related experience with a PhD
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is expected:
Reliability & Maintainability, Product Support, Materials &
Processes Engineering, LO Engineering Processes, Aircraft Design,
Electromagnetic Propagation, Supportable Low Observables or
adjacent technologies. Experience with one or more is desired
- Experience with RF and/or IR test equipment, test procedures
and data processing is highly desired
- Candidate must have a positive attitude towards learning and a
history of teamwork and taking initiative Drug Free
