your future with us. The Boeing Technology and Innovation (BTI)
organization looking for Propulsion Engineer to join the Energy and
Propulsion team in St. Louis, MO. Our teams are currently hiring
for a broad range of experience levels including : Mid-Level,
Senior Level Propulsion Engineer . The BTI Energy and Propulsion
team drives the future of aerospace by designing and integrating
cutting-edge propulsion systems through all speed regimes: subsonic
to hypersonic! In this role, you'll develop next-generation air
vehicles, lead hands-on testing and analysis, collaborate with
suppliers, and mentor emerging engineers. As part of Boeing
Technology Innovation, you'll work across the Boeing Enterprise
building connections with others at domestic and international
sites to push the state-of-the-art in propulsion systems for a

Position Responsibilities - Defines, coordinates, and controls the
functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system
and the vehicle - Configures or designs propulsion sub-systems and
components to meet all vehicle design and performance
specifications - Performs or leads a range of testing, analysis,
modeling, and simulation activities aimed at predicting and
validating system performance - Development of concepts for future
propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements - Support
development of specifications and architectural and configuration
concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and
regulatory requirements. - Propulsion vendor management and
coordination - Works independently under direction from Subject
Matter Experts - Ability to mentor early career engineers Basic
Qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,
Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology),
Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or
non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work
statement - Proficient in applying knowledge of internal and
external flow characteristics related to inlets, nozzles, and
engine operation with the capability to perform propulsion system
analysis tasks - Experience in planning, conducting, coordinating,
or developing test requirements for wind tunnel, ground, or flight
testing to evaluate the performance characteristics of propulsion
systems, their components, or supporting technologies Preferred
qualifications - Ability to obtain additional accesses/clearances
post hire that require US Citizenship exclusively. - 6 years of
relevant work experience - Understanding of the interactions
between propulsion, aerodynamics, and flight controls as part of a
collaborative Flight Sciences engineering team - Foundational
knowledge of gas turbine engine operation and thermodynamics -
Foundational knowledge of propulsion integration and engine-inlet
matching - Experience with CAD software (e.g. CATIA, NX) for inlet
geometry design - Experience with high-speed aerodynamics,
compressible flow and inlet design principles - Experience with
inlet performance analysis, including shock wave management and
boundary layer control - Experience with real world component and
hardware integration - Experience with thermodynamic cycle modeling

considerations. Summary Pay Range for Mid- Level: $112,200 -
$151,800 Summary Pay Range for Senior: $136,850 - $185,150
