currently seeking a Director of Underwriting. This is a fully
remote/work from home position.Role and ResponsibilitiesReporting
to the Chief Product Officer, the Southern Scripts Director of
Underwriting is responsible for establishing strategic and
competitive pricing for a variety of customer prospects while
determining the direction and coordination of activities that
support customer pricing, profitability analysis, and contract
renewal opportunities. The Director of Underwriting is responsible
for owning the relationships with rebate vendors including
adherence to obligations and partnership performance. The Director
of Underwriting is required to perform the following duties and
professionally undertake the following responsibilities:Lead,
mentor, and continuously develop your Southern Scripts team of
analysts and other department members.Set pricing for all new
business opportunities to optimize savings opportunities for
Southern Scripts' clients and margins.Optimize pricing strategy for
each Southern Scripts channel partners.Maintain and enhance
customer pricing processes and balance risks and returns at a
client level and/or group level, as appropriate.Provide
recommendations to internal stakeholders for appropriate
contractual and proposal language.Analyze the financial viability
of new product concepts, including pro forma analysis of client
adoption rates and return on investment projections.Communicate
with internal stakeholders on rebate collection results, status,
and future expectations.Estimate rebate yields for new prospects
and continually refine Southern Scripts' processes/logic for
accuracy.Reconcile rebate payments to expectations, historical
records, and contractual obligations.Monitor and measure our
compliance with rebate guarantees made to clients.Provide clarity
to the Executive Team as to how much financial risk is present at
any given time.Devise solutions and strategic course corrections as
necessary.Engage with clients and consultants on guarantee results
and audits.Write standard and custom RFP responses and respond to
RFPs.Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected
Health Information (PHI).If a HIPAA violation is discovered,
whether individually or by another, you must report the violation
to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.Attend, complete,
and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered

Required Skills and CompetenciesRequires income statement and ad
hoc financial experience.Requires experience and proven analytical
skills in Excel Spreadsheets.Prefer experience in healthcare, PBM,
workers' compensation, and/or insurance industry. Supervisory
ResponsibilityDirect management of multiple teams. Position Type
and Expected Hours of WorkFull-time/Salaried/Exempt.Some
flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available
during the "core" work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We cover
clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to
cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours,
weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.TravelMinimal
travel expected yet necessary depending on client requirements and
corporate underwriting strategy planning. Required Education and
ExperienceBachelor's degree plus one to three years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
