Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and
Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS
from AHA only, Fetal Heart Monitoring, NRP Must-Have: 2 years Labor
and Delivery experience in inpatient settings. Moderate volume
hospitals preferred. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to
provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the
provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of
care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care
in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and
confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and
responsibilities in accordance with mission and values. Performs
direct patient care activities for all age groups, including
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and
coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to
optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of
nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of
nursing practice. Meets specific physical demands for the unit.
Involves significant bending, stooping, and lifting with
assistance. May require varied schedules, shifts, and work
frequency based on patient care needs. High-risk exposure to blood
and body fluids. Physical demands include the ability to push,
pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., and perform
minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Coordinates patient care
for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient
care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other
direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with
other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner
consistent with organizational mission and values.
