current dialysis experience License: Illinois license required
Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Geriatric patient experience;
NXStage dialysis machine experience strongly required; CNN or CDN
certification preferred; CrownWeb EMR experience preferred; BSN
preferred. Description: This position involves caring for the
geriatric population in a dialysis setting. The role focuses on
providing gentler and more effective treatments that improve the
quality of life for patients. Patients will receive shorter,
gentler, and more frequent treatments that closely mimic the
function of healthy kidneys. Decreased recovery times and overall
improvement in quality of life are key benefits for the patients.
Nurses in this role are highly trained with specialized skills in
dialysis, delivering exceptional compassionate care. Patients are
able to dialyze in the comfort of designated dialysis rooms. This
setup helps to avoid the burden of traveling to outpatient centers
for dialysis. The role aims to reduce time, stress, and energy
spent on travel, while providing better control of health
conditions. Experienced professionals will perform treatments using
state-of-the-art machinery tailored for each patient. A dress code
dictates that black scrub tops will be provided, while personal
scrub bottoms of any color are acceptable. This position requires
flexibility and a willingness to float to different areas as
necessary.
