Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work three 12-hour shifts per week • Placed on weekend rotation working every third weekend • Participate in holiday rotation based on unit needs • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends) • 2 years of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • BCLS certification required • No on-call responsibilities • Will float to other departments including Progress West and other units (surgical, telemetry) • Care for similar patient populations when floating • 75-mile radius rule - local candidates not accepted • Pending license accepted • Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract • Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks • Preferred skills: chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience • Care for general medical and surgical patients • 24 hours of orientation required • Epic charting system • Light gray/silver scrubs required • Free parking available Facility: This is a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital that provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features modern Epic charting systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The hospital maintains a daily census of approximately 38 patients with 41 available rooms and beds, ensuring quality patient care in a well-staffed environment.
