Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,144 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the ICU. The nurse will work in a critical care environment focusing on oncology. The average daily census in the unit is 21 patients with a capacity of 25 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Responsibilities include management of multi-system organ failure and dysrhythmias. The nurse will administer medications and manage intravenous therapies. Care of ventilated patients, arterial lines, and blood products is required. The nurse will perform phlebotomy and care for surgical wounds. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential, including pharmacy and respiratory services. A background in a teaching hospital and travel experience is preferred. Weekends will be required every other week. There is no call requirement for this position. The nurse may be required to float to different oncology units as needed. Candidates should be prepared to complete modules and labs before starting. This job requires adherence to infection prevention practices and safety protocols. Compliance with all required competencies and training is expected before beginning the role. Successful candidates will be able to effectively work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
