working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Saint Louis, Missouri, 63104! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2
years required License: Registered Nurse license required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. NIH Stroke Scale
certification preferred. Must-Have: Experience in
Med/Surg/Telemetry Description: This unit serves a diverse patient
population with various surgical and medical needs. Primary service
lines include thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, general
surgery, and general medicine. Candidates with Progressive Care
Unit (PCU) experience are preferred. However, candidates without
PCU experience and those with a strong Med/Surg/Telemetry
background will be considered. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5 for
Med/Surg/Telemetry patients and 1:3 for PCU patients. New graduates
are accepted. Every other weekend availability is required.
Floating to Med/Surg/Telemetry units may be necessary to meet
facility needs. Experience with EPIC charting is required.
Additional interdisciplinary support is available, including
physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. This is a
blended Med/Surg and PCU unit, but travelers are not assigned PCU
patients. Travelers will only care for Med/Surg patients during
their contract. The unit serves as a backup for trauma and stroke
services. Candidates should be able to manage various nursing tasks
such as telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and patient assessments.
All traveling nurses must complete necessary clearance and fit
testing before starting. Candidates should not have previously
worked as a traveler for more than one year without a six-month
