Job Description:
Job Summary:Residential Sales Representatives are essential to
the growth of i3 Broadband. They build relationships with a wide
variety of customers, teach potential customers about i3 technology
and new products, and deliver sales results. Residential Sales
Professionals go door-to-door or use other direct marketing methods
to expand i3's reach and sell broadband services to residential
customers within an assigned territory or neighborhood. They get
customers excited about the benefits of switching from their
current provider to a 100% Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) connection
through i3 Broadband. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sell Broadband Services and bundled services to residential
customers in serviceable areas.
- Travel to different territories going door-to-door with the
goal of selling internet, Wi-Fi, phone, and TV services.
- Go door-to-door to describe and demonstrate the features,
benefits, and value of i3 products and services; Matching residents
with the customized services that best fit their needs and
lifestyle.
- Take initiative to independently set their own schedule and
plan their day - pre-call planning, route planning, daily
objectives, and distribute marketing materials.
- Maintain company-established goals, prospecting, closing
standards, bundling objectives, and sales production
standards.
- Work prospect list or lead list and ask for referrals.
- Circle back and check on customers who are in the position to
buy i3 services.
- Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with the
team and in the community.
- Work an assigned territory, often up to 30-50 houses per
day.
- Engage in a positive experience with those whom they interact
within the community.
- Complete sales order forms, documents, and reports as
required.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales
meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities
- Must be computer proficient and have a basic understanding of
consumer electronics.
- Must be available to work occasional nights, weekends and
occasional holidays (with holiday pay) to fulfill the team
schedule.
- Willing to train, accept feedback, and learn the job according
to i3 standards. Education/Experience:
- Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is
required; Previous door-to-door sales experience is just a
plus!
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings
and weekends.
- A positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving
record.
- Successful applicants will need to pass a criminal background
check and motor vehicle records check.
- Use of a reliable vehicle is required. Physical Requirements:
- The ability to work in adverse weather conditions inducing
heat, cold, snow, rain, wind, and dust.
- The ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of
time.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. (boxes of sales and
marketing materials, display materials, etc.).
- Ability to talk, hear, communicate orally and in writing.
- While performing the duties of this job employees must maintain
a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record that
meets the standards of the company insurance policy.
