Job Description:

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, in the heart of growing St. Charles County. At St. Charles Community College, we have a passion for student success. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations.We are seeking two full-time HR professionals to serve in a Generalist capacity for administering benefit services, and talent recruitment and acquisition programs. The HR Generalist will administer and promote an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing customer service and retention and development of the College. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to provide counsel and coaching to employees and managers on one or more of the following department areas: recruitment, acquisition, and staffing, and benefit services programs, on-boarding, and college processes and policies.Maintains and utilizes the ATS or other college provided systems to manage HR processes and prepare reports. Troubleshoots and resolve employment matters and recommend solutions to department manager. May perform reference and background checks on proposed hires and propose salary recommendations and start dates. Serves as the department liaison for the HR department major activities including search committee hiring, benefit negotiation and enrollment processes, compensation analysis and monitoring job descriptions. Supports and promotes clear employment practices, aligning with strategic organizational goals, board policies, regulations and laws. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals of diverse and multicultural backgrounds. Encourages a positive employee relations environment through consistent application of open door policy and promoting open dialogue between employees and management. Demonstrates an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes customer service, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.Promotes a strict standard of confidentiality when handling employee matters, organizational information, reports, and correspondence. Provides excellent communication skills to clearly communicate information or instructions verbally and in writing to a diverse community and staff.Performs related duties as assigned.Requires regular and predictable attendance.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in Human Resources or related field, plus two years of HR practitioner experience with an emphasis in compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, and talent acquisition, OR,Equivalent education and experience in Human Resources.Experience in Talent acquisition and benefits administrationStrong skills in the use of web-based technology, Word, and Excel and software that supports HR benefits and/or employment functions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree with preference to a degree in Human Resources or related field.Review of applications for full consideration and candidate selection will begin on November 14, 2022.
