GPAC has partnered with a wonderful privately owned business
looking for a Full Time Production Manager to add to their team.
They need someone who can deliver high quality pharmacy products,
such as labels, pharmacy bags, pill cards, and other related
products to the healthcare segment. The company is a leading
supplier of value-added products to their customers, especially
Pharmacies.JOB SUMMARY of the Production Manager:The Production
Manager would be responsible for managing and providing guidance to
production supervisors and managing day-to-day activities on the
production floor. The position is also responsible for supervising
direct and indirect reports for the benefit of the company and all
stakeholders, establishing, and maintaining positive and productive
relationships.JOB FUNCTIONS of the Production Manager:
- Monitoring daily production schedules for all departments for
accuracy and achievement of throughput objectives.
- Perform hourly walk-throughs of all areas of the facility,
while having visibility on all shifts.
- Oversight for all production departments including but not
limited to flexo, bags, offset and medi-aide.
- Partner with plant HR to hire, train and develop personnel in
various departments.
- Ensure maintenance PM schedule meets equipment guidelines and
coincides with operations schedules.
- Oversees collection and entry of all data (time, footage,
scrap) and participates in the reporting of such data, per the
protocol set by leadership.
- Ensure that production orders capture product data (such as
quantities and specifications of products) and is conveyed
correctly to press operators via well-documented work orders.
- Ensure the production team communicates with associates with a
focus on providing personal development and work-related
performance feedback.
- Collaborates with purchasing staff to plan and manage materials
and supplies to ensure all production orders can be fulfilled
correctly and on time.
- Participate in daily production meetings.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of standard
operating procedures and working practices and observes workers to
ensure compliance with the companies standards.
- Monitor operations' expenses and adjust activities to meet or
exceed annual budgets.
- Identify operational improvement initiatives and execute the
implementation of those agreed upon activities.Lead efforts to
build strong safety practices and ensure adherence, including
coordinating hearing testing, CPR training and LOTO (lock out/tag
out) programs. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE of the Production
Manager:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Relevant computer applications; including all Microsoft Office
programs
