Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield, Illinois,

administration skills IV therapy and infusion skills Description:
Position involves caring for patients in medical surgical oncology.
No oncology certification is required. The average daily census is
24 patients with 24 rooms/beds. Candidates are expected to work
every other weekend. Experience with chemotherapy administration
and management is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the
ability to handle cytotoxic spills and monitor chemotherapy. Skills
in IV access, administration of blood products, and care of central
lines are required. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred.
Candidates will float as needed within an appropriate scope.
Weekend coverage is necessary with a schedule accommodating
requests as possible. Preferred qualifications include chemotherapy
certification through relevant bodies and experience in community
or acute care settings. Position will involve interdisciplinary
support and collaboration with various healthcare professionals.
Candidates should be able to recognize and communicate abnormal lab
values and manage side effects of treatment. Job involves caring
for a diverse patient population, primarily adults and geriatrics.
