Works is seeking Low Observable (LO) Design & Integration Engineers
to join our team in Berkeley, MO. Phantom Works is Boeing Defense's
advanced design division that is responsible for designing,
building, and testing the future capabilities for our Nation's
defense. The Phantom Works' portfolio has grown significantly over
the past few years, and we need to grow our team to solve some of
the toughest challenges. This position is part of the Phantom Works
Fixed Wing Prototype & Test organization supporting multiple
proprietary programs.The LO Design & Integration Engineer will be
responsible for contributing to multi-disciplined configuration
design maturation and trade studies, performing high fidelity Radar
Cross Section (RCS) analysis and optimizations, developing
component RCS test models, and performing testing to validate RCS
requirements. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of
analytical modeling using Method of Moments (MoM) and Physical
Optics (PO) computational electromagnetic (CEM) codes.This is a
great opportunity to work new designs and integration of stealth
materials and technologies as part of an integrated product team.
LO Design & Integration engineers apply knowledge of
electromagnetic theory & principles to develop new and innovative
stealthy systems and components for next generation platforms. This
job requires both hands-on and deskwork. Some travel is
expected.This position offers the opportunity to work with more
experienced team members to accomplish the responsibilities and
tasks as listed above and develop the skills to perform these tasks
independently.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of
experience levels including; Associate, Experienced, or Senior
Level Low Observable (LO) Design & Integration Engineers.Position
Responsibilities:
- Support the LO Design and Integration team
- Work within an Integrated Product Team
- Develop and integrate cutting edge low observable
technologies
- Participate in weekly configuration development activities
- Direct multi-discipline trades studies
- Perform design optimization through electromagnetic modeling
and simulation
- Analyze signature Radio Frequency (RF) test data
- Work with suppliers and customers (internal & external) to
ensure compliance with technical requirements
- Integrates and conduct testing of LO components Other
Responsibilities May Include :
- Teamwork: Candidates must be able to positively interact with a
wide range of personnel in design, fabrication, and testing of
prototypes and aircraft parts and systems, including suppliers
- Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and
status to project stakeholders Candidate may be representing the
Boeing Company to Government Customers and/or suppliers
- Technical writing: Candidate will create and edit
specifications, procedures, and reports
- Flexibility: Strong organization and documentation skills will
be needed to manage multiple simultaneous projects in various
states of maturity and/or multiple activities within a single
projectThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed
location options.Travel may be required up to 10% of the time;
Domestically depending on business needs.This position requires the
ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S.
Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Ability to obtain and
maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearanceBasic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
- (Level 2) 2+ years of work related engineering experience with
a Bachelor's or work related engineering experience with a
Master's
- (Level 3) 5+ years of work related engineering experience with
a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work related engineering experience
with a Master's or work related engineering experience with a
PhD
- (Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with
a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work related engineering experience
with a Master's or 4+ years of work related engineering experience
with a PhD
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is expected: LO
Engineering Processes, Aircraft Design, Electromagnetic
Propagation, Supportable Low Observables, LO Materials &
ProcessesRelocation: This position offers relocation based on

Summary pay range (Associate, Level 2): $79,900 - $108,100Summary
pay range (Experienced, Level 3): $97,750 - $132,250Summary pay
